Are you tired of getting tied up in your power tool cords? Here's a
radical suggestion from one of our visitors.
Cut the power cords! You typically use extension cords with your
power tools anyways so cut the cords to 12" long and install a
replacement plug. Then you won't need to coil the cord any more.
Another visitor suggested that some cords can be pulled back into
the tool's body and cut. This preserves the factory molded-on plug.
Please Note: Another visitor
e-mailed us about this tip pointing out that OSHA requires that
all plugs be molded-on. Replacement plugs are not allowed in OSHA
regulated areas. If you are a commercial contractor or other business
you should leave the cords alone.
