If you have some experience on the wood lathe, and
are interested in learning the principals of wooden
bowl turning, then this class from WoodZone is for you. (If not
then our Intro to Woodturning class is a great place
to start). During the class you will learn the
principals of bowl turning, tool selection, design
and turning techniques. We will teach you how to
select, prepare, and mount the wood blank. Each
student will leave with a completed wooden bowl.
Bowl turning is a fun an exciting hobby. You can take a piece
of "spalting" firewood off of your burn pile and turn it
into a masterpiece. Wooden bowl turning is an exciting and
free-form artistic part of woodworking. Many woodturners own only
a minimum number of woodworking tools as turning requires only a
modest investment.
If you have taken our "Introduction to Woodturning
Class" or if you already have some woodturning experience
then you are qualified to take this class. We provide all of the
tools, equipment, and supplies. You are permitted to bring your
own woodturning tools if you would like to work with them. |
